Laurie Peterka

Laurie has earned over 40 years of business management experience through various engagements across a variety of industries. Though she has more than 30-years in the for-profit industry, her current focuses are on non-profit management and community development. Key strengths include a vivid imagination for how things could be, oral and written communications skills, organizational and logistical management talent and team leadership. With extensive experience in community development, ocean conservation, social responsibility, consensus building, which are all addressed through careful analysis, extensive communications, and strong strategic action plans, Laurie seeks to see public-private partnership projects to fruition. Ms. Peterka also has extensive experience with volunteer commitments throughout the CNMI community. In both 2012 and 2018, she was awarded the Sports Administrator of the Year award by the Northern Marianas Sports Association. She won the Beautify CNMI! Environmental Champion Award in 2009 for helping build local support network and an organization that led to the creation of the Marianas Trench Marine National Monument. In 2005, the Rotary Club of Saipan bestowed upon Ms. Peterka the Rotarian of the Year award and again, in 2006, she was presented with the prestigious Service Above Self award.
